Zeus: The King of the Gods Zeus, the king of the gods, is one of the most powerful figures in Greek mythology. He is the god of thunder and lightning, and his domain includes the sky and the heavens. Zeus is often depicted as a tall, muscular man with a beard and long hair, holding a lightning bolt in one hand and a scepter in the other.
